In our VNR (Video News Release), Mayor Billy Kenoi gives an inspirational speech to a group of at-risk middle school students in Waimea, Hawaii. The event was part of the Connecting for Success program that encourages good behavior, better grades and higher school attendance. Volunteer adult mentors are at the heart of the program. The crowd of more than one hundred students, teachers, mentors and family members gave the mayor a rock star welcome.
